Have you ever thought or wonder what God's plan for you is? I have. I pondered about this question every single day...what is God's plan for me? Is it to become a doctor? Should I date this guy? Or should I buy this? It's a question that cannot easily be answered , even in the Bible because it won't magically give you an answer. You probably will still struggle to find what God's plan for you is. I say this because I struggle with this question a lot, but it's not just me, but I know that some of my brother and sisters in Christ out there struggle with it as well.

Let us read from Deuteronomy 30:11-16, 19-20, it says, " Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, 'Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?' Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, 'Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?' No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it. See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess... This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob".

Abraham chooses life when God came down and made a covenant with him by promising to give him many descendants (Genesis 15:5) In the book of Joshua, the people were given land by God as promised and in return they will trust the Lord and follow Him. (Joshua 24:13-14) So what was the decision that was made by these people that God's plan had revealed to them? They chose life. They chose to trust and follow Him. "...For the Lord is your life...". (Deuteronomy 30:20) Their decision to choose to follow Him has lead to their destination in God's revealing His plan for them.

Red Rocks Young Adult pastor, Doug Wekenman, says, " We feed our souls with daily counterfeits and this will eventually lead to a destination of exponential death in hell in life". So, if we continue to make daily decisions that won't geared us towards the right direction then our destination will never be reached. For example, if I plan to get married someday, but instead I make all these future plans like I want travel all over the world before getting married or I want to open up my own clinic before getting married. I don't think that in a million years I will be able to get married if I wanted to achieve those future plan first. I admit that I am an idealist because I love to dream big, but I feel like that older I get, I am learning and understanding that these hypothetical dreams without daily direction don't matter. As Doug Wekenman said, " Dreams do not sow seeds, but your directions will sow those seeds".

Therefore, it's not really about trying to figure out what God's plan for you is...it's more about the decisions that you make daily that will affect your direction and where that direction takes you, will lead you to your destination.
