For a girl who loves to spontaneously travel, I've been blessed to travel in Atlanta, Georgia this year!
I'm amazed how similar it is to Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon. Maybe its because while driving on the highway, all I see are these tall and lushes trees from left to right! But I've fallen in love with the city of Atlanta and you'll know why here pretty soon.
I can't seem to pinpoint why I have fallen for Atlanta, Georgia. Maybe because it's of all the delicious food that can be found at Ponce City Market. Maybe because of it's beautiful architectural building of their Skyline at Skyline Park. Or possibly, because I'm a photographer and there's just so many great places in mind to take portrait photography! The list is endless.
Places To Eat:
When I got here, I didn't really get to explore a lot in Atlanta, Georgia or their food in the cities, but one place that I did go to that has captured my taste buds is Ponce City Market. Definitely try their Lobster Sandwich at W.H. Stiles Fish Camp! One of the best Lobster Sandwich I've had in Atlanta, Georgia! Their delicious calamari appetizers and oysters platters are super mouth-watering good too! This is a family/friendly environment and the atmosphere is great because the restaurant is engulfed with the smell of delicious seafood. The interior design of the restaurant gives this amazing casual- style fish shack and it makes you feel like your inside of a beach shack restaurant next to the ocean. And I love that feeling of eating next to the ocean.
Places To Visit:
There are quite a few places that you'll definitely want to visit when you come here.
Places such as, the Atlanta Aquarium, Toccoa Falls, and definitely, again, Ponce City Market.
The Atlanta Aquarium is huge and even bigger than the Aquarium here in Denver, Colorado. But if you love sea lions and dolphins, definitely go and check out their live show. It's A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. You will definitely enjoy it, especially with the whole family too!
Next on my list is Toccoa Falls. Yeah, I know...the name doesn't sound too captivating towards people and they will just think it's another waterfall, but hey it's an amazing waterfall and people get married there too! Go GOOGLE those wedding photos that were taken at Toccoa Falls. I dare you. Haha...I'm just kidding. But in all seriousness, its truly a gorgeous and beautiful sight to see. You can even go and swim in it too!
Last, but not least, Ponce City Market. Again, I know! Best food, best drinks, best desserts, and cute little hipster shops inside the market. However, one of the best places to visit on top of Ponce City Market is Skyline Park! It has an amazing view of the Skyline and all those beautiful tall glass buildings. If you go during the evening, it's even more breathtaking. The roof has an amazing restaurant and drinking bar to grab some refreshments during the hot summer days. You can also go mini golfing, slide down on their big metal slides, take photos, play games, and take a view at the Skyline in downtown Atlanta.
Wow! So many information right? But I think I've given enough information on Atlanta, Georgia and maybe you'll fall in love with it the way I did too! It may top all the other states that I've been too, but it is the small moments that are made in all of those places that holds a place in my heart:) What do you think? Do you think you travel here and fall in love like I did? Let me know if you have more tips I can share on my traveling blog! Until next time!
