“ But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self- control. Against such things there is no law.” -Galatians 5:22-23
There you go. As simple as what the Bible had said. So, when you ask yourself again, what is the fruit of the Spirit? What does it mean to have the fruit of the Spirit? It means all of the things listed above.
Each day, we walk about with our daily lives not knowing if we are fully charged with the Holy Spirit inside of us. Sometimes, we don’t really think about our actions and words that we say and do to one another. Our sinful nature produces the types of fruit that reflects on our own nature. Know what I mean? We live on a day to day basis with sin. We are born with sin from day one. However, we can change that. With having faith and believing that Jesus came down on the cross to die for our sins, (John 3:16) we are born anew and with a clear remark, every one receives the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14). He has cleansed us and purified us from our sins. Therefore, let the Holy Spirit immersed in us so that it can produce the types of fruit that reflects on His nature, but not ours. Let us bear good fruits and not bad fruits. Let the Holy Spirit conform to us the image of Christ, making us to be more like Him. With the Holy Spirit inside us, it will be able to produce more and more of his good fruits in us so that we, as brothers and sisters in Christ share these good fruits with one another.
